Eddie Macken had an illustrious career were he competed many fantastic horses, the horse he is most famous for riding is the great Boomerang, an Irish bred gelding with whom Eddie Macken won many major championships. Among Eddie`s career highlights is representing Ireland at two Olympic games, Eddie Macken also won the hickstead derby four times in a row.

Eddie Dempsey

Born 7th February 1911, Conty Meath, Ireland, Eddie Dempsey was a successful national hunt jockey throughout the 1930s and 1940s. Big wins include the 1941 Enniskerry Hurdle with Prince Regent and the 1947 grand national with Caughoo. After the grand national win Eddie Dempsey was accused of cheating by Daniel McCann who said he took a shorter route in the fog, the pair came to blows and the matter was settled in court. Eddie Dempsey retired at the end of 1950 season.

Eddie Arcaro

George Edward Arcaro (February 19, 1916 – November 4, 1997), known professionally as Eddie Arcaro , was an American Thoroughbred horse racing Hall of Fame jockey who won more American Classic Races than any other jockey in history and is the only rider to have won the U.S. Triple Crown twice. He is widely regarded as the greatest jockey in the history of American Thoroughbred horse racing.

Arcaro was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of an impoverished taxi driver. Eventually nicknamed "Banana Nose" by his confreres, Arcaro won his first race in 1932 at the Agua Caliente racetrack in Tijuana, Mexico.

Freddie 55 is a showjumping horse competed by David Coombs, produced from young horse classes Freddie 55 is now an 8 year old and is consistently jumping 1.40m classes with lots of scope and ability to go further. Freddie 55 has an excellent showjumping pedigree, a son of Quannon out of a No Limit mare.
